In the area, there is the presence of people marginalised from the community who enact a series of antisocial behaviors. We decided to provide a space for exchange and socialization, with the goal of reinforcing Corvetto’s identity and getting the neighborhood closer and more linked to each other.
After several on-site visits and interviews with local residents, we gained a clearer picture of the neighborhood and its inhabitants. Conflicts between different groups were noticeable. The illegal and invasive behaviors of certain youth groups have disrupted public order. At the same time, many elderly residents who were once proud and actively involved have gradually become disengaged.
Creating opportunities for dialogue and connection is essential to rebuilding trust and fostering understanding between these groups.
Our approach is playful and joyful by installing suspended balls in the area, inviting people to play together, as the first step to solving the problem.
