The exterior and interior protrusions are substantially rounded off in order to construct a safe and comfortable residence for all age groups. Precisely chamfered and curved walls are done to free the hostile protrusions and deliver a sense of cleanliness, coziness, and trustworthiness. Inspired by the traditional rush-weaving techniques practiced in Miaoli County’s Yuan-Li Township, The None Residences project has made the weaving aesthetic an integral part of its concept.

The Hakka Roundhouse, located close to THSR Miaoli Station, also shed additional light on me. It manifests unique Hakka culture since this specific type of ring-shaped building helped to centralize the community and create strong, neighborly ties. I am of the “less is more” mentality, so my objective is to reinterpret the roundhouse and integrate its simple shape and texture into my design. The traditional concepts perpetuated in a contemporary context make my design project all the more impressive.

​為打造安全舒適的全齡樂居宅，我希望盡可能消除空間中所有的稜角，利用導角以及弧形牆面精準地控制每個角度，讓人感受到乾淨、安全與信任的空間氛圍，試圖打造真正無尖銳稜角的安全居住環境。

本次設計以苗栗最具代表性之一的工藝 – 藺草編織技藝為元素，逐漸發展出空間中編織意象之造型。
另外，參考鄰近苗栗後龍高鐵站的客家圓樓之圓弧和曲面造型，試圖消除空間中的尖銳稜角，使空間呈現柔軟包覆狀態。嘗試利用當地具有歷史文化象徵意義之傳統元素以及極簡的語彙勾勒出現代及美感兼具的視覺映像，我認為越是簡單的形體變化以及材質搭配，越能給人留下深刻的印象。創造出富現代感且嶄新的視覺效果。利用交織、串連、圍繞出住戶之間的情感連結，讓人與人的關係更加緊密。
